I bought this memory pillow because of the product description having said that it has firm talalay latex foam that are said to be great for people who suffer allergy, and I’m one that does. So it was a great buy for me. This simmons beautyrest really gives out more than what I could have for the price I paid.

But most reviews of other customers are bad about this memory foam pillow but I guess it’s because of the production’s description that makes confusion about how it really works.

Firm and hard for example are two different words that describe two different qualities of a pillow. Hard pillow is one that left rough because of the materials that are in the interior of the pillow. For example, the pillow is made out of cheap fibers. Over time this fibers tend to group together and entangles, making it hard and uneasy to lie down. On the other hand, a Firm pillow like the memory foam pillow, is one that does is comfortable to lie around. It does contour to your head and creates a good angle that your head and neck will not stiff.

On the other hand this memory pillows is not as soft as you had imagined. So there is not much resistance when you place it anywhere, beneath your neck or head or lower back. It bounces right away after you are done with it. And it easily bounces back no matter how hard I fold it. Really is the best pillow for me ever.

I like this pillow a lot. It really breaks into half when I read or watch TV. Although, when you purchase it you need to leave it for a couple of seconds to get rid of the latex smell. I used a blower after I unpacked it from the package as soon as I smelled the latex. Do not use perfumes to spray on the pillow, it will only mix with the latex’s smell and becomes a strong odor.

The latex material of simmons beautyrest latex pillow is the one responsible of preventing molds, fungus, mites and other parasites to stick onto the pillow. The pin-hole design makes air circulation inside the pillow just fine. Plus the cover (made of 100% cotton, zippered fastening, and made of white stripes all 250-thread-count) is machine washable.
